I took it to be a terse answer to the question posed in the subject:

No, religion is not a threat to rationality and science.

And I agree. Rationality and science need not feel threatened by
religion, even though I am quite certain that any number of people on
this list have ready files to show how "religion" dangerously attacks
rationality and science when it feels threatened. Rail on, if you must:
I'll be religiously* avoiding the rants to follow.
