You missed the point. Entirely. Are you sick?

The acceptable justification for the disappearance
of the slave daughter and the appearance of the 
children/grandchildren was that the slave daughter had
joined a religious fanatical sect.

So, all this happened because people are tolerant of religious
fanaticism.
