Unfortunately, I am in a different but equally troubling boat.  A
while back I decided that I was no longer comfortable posting to this
(and other) lists via my work email account.  So I switched to a Gmail
account.  But at work access to Gmail is blocked so I tend to read all
the list mail in my Palm Treo.  When I do respond it is via Gmail's
mobile web interface, which is really limited on quoting options.

I haven't figured out how to get around that one yet.

Yes, I did type this in the little tiny keyboard on my phone.
