I'll give you this, Jon: you are nothing if not persistent in your  
drive to get this hammered down. I hope the geniuses are able to give  
you the satisfaction I got.

When my year-old MacBook Pro battery, at 298 battery charge cycles,  
was only holding about 66% of a the factory-fresh capacity, they  
replaced it at no charge, and now I've got a month-old battery that  
has a scant 20 charge cycles on it, and claims to hold about 98% of  
its brand-new capacity per charge.
